For nearly 70 years, the Golden Spike Association, National Park Service, and Box Elder County have honored the anniversary of the historic completion of the Transcontinental Railroad that united the nation by rail, hosting a traditional reenactment of the driving of the last spike ceremony as it was done on May 10th, 1869.
